In honor of their glittering lifestyles, let's take a peek at some of the top richest heirs and heiresses in America. 

1. Anderson Cooper: $200 Million

Anderson Cooper might be known as a news anchor and journalist, but he is the heir to railroad baron Cornelius Vanderbilt. Anderson’s mother, fashion designer and heiress Gloria Vanderbilt, was the baron’s great-great-great granddaughter, and Cooper inherited the majority of her estate when she passed away in June. The value of that estate turned out to be nearly $1.5 million.

2. Paris Hilton: $5 Million

Paris Hilton is the great-granddaughter of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton, who has a $2.3 billion estate. However, the tycoon plans to give 97% of his fortune to charities when he passes, and only 3% — $69 million — will be left to his heirs. Hilton is to inherit $100 million, which will be $5 million after tax.

3. Balthazar Getty: $200 Million

Balthazar Getty is the great-grandson of Jean Paul Getty, who was an oil tycoon and one of the richest men in the world in the 1960s. Jean Paul Getty founded the Getty Oil Company, and at his death, he was reportedly worth more than $6 billion. In 1966, the Guinness Book of Records named him as the world's richest private citizen.

4. Julia Louis-Dreyfus: $200 Million

Julia Louis-Dreyfus might be best known for her roles on Seinfeld and Veep and for being one of the most awarded actresses in American television history. But she is also the great-great-granddaughter of Léopold Louis-Dreyfus, who founded the Louis Dreyfus Group in the 1800s, a French shipping conglomerate, which members of her family still control.

5. Suri Cruise: $300 Million

Suri Cruise is the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Cruise has an estimated net worth of  $570 million, and Holmes has a net worth of $25 million. Suri is the couple's only child, though Cruise has two children from his marriage with Nicole Kidman. In 2012, Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise in New York after five and a half years of marriage. She now has custody of Suri.

6. Travis Knight: $28 Billion

Travis Knight is the eldest son of Phil Knight, who founded Nike. Travis is in charge of a trust that controls over 38 million shares of Nike stock, which is equivalent to a stake worth of approximately $2.3 billion. It's not quite clear how much he'll end up inheriting, but his father currently has an estimated net worth of $33 billion.

7. The Bezos Kids: $131 Billion

Jeff Bezos is the CEO of Amazon and one of the wealthiest people in the world, with a net worth of $161 billion. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates recently surpassed Bezos on the list of the wealthiest people in the world, but that distinction seems to go back and forth, depending on the fluctuating value of the two companies' stock. In 2018, Amazon's value briefly reached $1 trillion, making Bezos the wealthiest man in history.

8. Blue Ivy Carter: $333 Million

Blue Ivy Carter is the first child of celebrity couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Beyonce's net worth is an estimated $400 million, and Jay-Z's is $1 billion. While Blue Ivy is only 7 years old, she has already appeared on some of her mother's tracks and makes waves on red carpets.

9. Ariana Rockefeller: $2.8 Billion

Ariana Rockefeller is the great-great-granddaughter of John D. Rockefeller. She serves on the board of the nonprofit David Rockefeller Fund and owns a fashion and handbag line that donates a portion of its proceeds to the Humane Society of the United States.

10. Megan Ellison: $60 Billion

Megan Ellison is the daughter of billionaire Larry Ellison, who founded tech giant Oracle in 1997. Oracle, which sells software services and data management systems, is now one of the biggest tech companies in the world, and Larry Ellison has a net worth of approximately $67 billion, according to Forbes.

11. Aerin Lauder: $3 Billion

Aerin Lauder is the eldest daughter of billionaire Ronald Lauder and the granddaughter of Estée Lauder. She's worked for her grandmother's company since 1992 and currently serves as the cosmetic firm’s style and image director. She also served as a board member at the company from 2004 to 2016. Her sister, Jane Lauder, is the global brand director for Clinique and is a member of the board of Estée Lauder. 

12. Jared Kushner: $1.8 Billion

Jared Kushner is the son of Charles Kushner, who created a property development company called Kushner Companies that brings in $2.5 billion a year. He will inherit one-fourth of the family business. Married to Ivanka Trump, he is currently the senior adviser to his father-in-law, Donald Trump, the president of the United States. 

13. Dylan Lauren: $4 Billion

Dylan Lauren is Ralph Lauren's daughter and the youngest of three children. While Lauren will inherit her father's wealth, she is also a successful businesswoman in her own right. She owns New York City's Dylan's Candy Bar, which claims to be the "largest candy store in the world."

14. Ally Hilfiger: $400 Million

Ally Hilfiger is the daughter of Tommy Hilfiger, multimillionaire owner of the same named fashion label, who is said to have a net worth of $400 million. While she does not have an active role in the company now, she is set to inherit a portion of the brand.

15. Georgina Bloomberg: $52 Billion

Georgina Bloomberg is the daughter of Michael Bloomberg, the former New York City mayor and the ninth richest person in the world. Georgina currently is a professional equestrian, sits on the board of trustees for the U.S. Equestrian Team, and fights for animal rights. She is set to inherit a portion of the Bloomberg wealth.

16. North West: $130 Million

North West is the first child of rapper Kanye West and TV personality and beauty mogul Kim Kardashian. West has an estimated worth of around $240 million, and Kardashian has an estimated worth of $370 million. 

17. Lydia Hearst-Shaw: $28 Billion

Lydia Hearst-Shaw is the great-granddaughter of newspaper publisher and politician William Randolph Hearst. She's also the daughter of Patty Hearst, who was kidnapped in 1974 by members of the Symbionese Liberation Army, a left-wing terrorist group.

18. Victoria Mars: $6.6 Billion

Victoria Mars is the great-granddaughter of Franklin Clarence Mars, who founded Mars Incorporated in 1911. Mars is now one of the largest privately held businesses in the world, with more than $33 billion in net sales, and it's entirely owned by the Mars family. The company is a global leader in chocolate, gum, and pet care. Victoria Mars has worked for the company for more than 37 years.

19. Teresa Heinz Kerry: $750 Million

Teresa Heinz Kerry is the widow of ketchup heir John Heinz. After he passed in a plane crash in 1991, he left his wealth and company to Teresa. She later married John Kerry, former U.S. Secretary of State. But legally she retained the name Teresa Heinz. 

20. Clare Bronfman: $500 Million

Clare Bronfman's father was billionaire and philanthropist Edgar Bronfman, Sr., who grew Seagram liquor into an international name. In the 1990s, the Seagram Company was the largest owner of alcoholic beverage lines in the world.

21. Dorothy Wang: $3.7 Billion

Dorothy Wang is the daughter of billionaire Robert Wang, the chairman of the Golden Eagle International Group. Dorothy became a TV personality when she starred in E!'s show, Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. The show ended in 2016. She is also a jewelry designer and owns her own champagne line.

22. Douglas Durst: $4.4 Billion

Douglas Durst is the grandson of Joseph Durst, who founded the real estate firm The Durst Organization in 1915. The Dursts were named one of the most prominent real estate families in New York City in the 20th century. The firm has an estimated worth of $5.2 billion.

Peter Brant Jr. is the son of billionaire paper magnate Peter Brant and supermodel Stephanie Seymour. No doubt influenced by their famous mother, Peter Brant Jr. and his brother, Harry, both enjoy fashion and the decorative arts.

Ronald Lauder is the youngest son of Estée Lauder, and has been the chairman of Clinique Laboratories since 1994. He has a net worth of $3.8 billion, but also has a career outside of the beauty industry. 

25. Francoise Bettencourt Meyers: $53 Billion

Francoise Bettencourt Meyers is the granddaughter of Eugene Schueller, who created L’Oreal. Meyers is named the richest woman in the world, with an estimated fortune of $53.2 billion. She was the only child of Liliane Bettencourt, which meant she received the full inheritance.

26. Carly Simon: $65 Million

Carly Simon might be best known as an award-winning artist with hits like "You're So Vain," "Nobody Does It Better" and "You Belong To Me," but she comes from family money.

27. Paige Laurie: $5.5 Billion

Paige Laurie is a grand-niece of Sam Walton, founder of multinational retail corporation Walmart, which operates 11,438 stores and clubs in 27 countries and is the world's largest company by revenue. She’s also the granddaughter of his business partner (and younger brother) Bud Walton. The Walton family is the wealthiest family in the world, with their collective fortune estimated between $150 billion and $175 billion. Paige is estimated to inherit over $5 billion of that wealth.

28. Edward Norton: $80 Million

Edward Norton is an established Hollywood actor, but he also comes from a wealthy family. His grandfather was James Rouse, who founded the Rouse Company. The developmental firm brought on the rise of shopping malls across the U.S. Norton received an inheritance from his grandfather, but went onto carve out an award-winning acting career for himself.

29. Lynsi Snyder: $1.1 Billion

Lynsi Snyder is the granddaughter of Harry and Esther Snyder, who founded In-N-Out Burger in 1948. On her 30th birthday, she inherited all of In-N-Out's shares, making her net worth $2.9 billion. At 37 years old, she is the youngest female billionaire in the U.S.
