The Heirs Who Will Inherit The Fortune Of America’s Biggest Brands

If only we could all inherit millions or billions of dollars from our parents who worked so hard to build their wealth. Do you ever wonder what your life would be like if you could have pretty much anything you desired? Do you wonder if it would lead to a fulfilling life?

Here we have some of the most famous sons and daughters who are heirs to huge family fortunes. The companies on this list are almost all valued in the billions, but that is where the similarities end. Some of the brand heirs on this page are involved in the company, while others take their trust fund money quietly and lead a more socialite-oriented life. In a few cases, the parents have cut the heirs off.

Find out how they live their lives and what they spend their money on, and in some cases, the sorts of interesting situations they have found themselves in over the years.

Alexa’s Instagram account is flooded with professional images of her in high-end designer clothing with all of her beautiful friends. If you look closely, you can even find the image of her with her fresh engagement ring, which was 12 karats and is estimated to be worth over 1 million dollars.

Business Insider described Alexa’s life as “fabulous.” The social media maven was forced to leave her beloved networking accounts after she accidentally posted a picture aboard her family’s private jet. After this news came out, her hometown college, the University of Missouri, removed her name from an arena that was named after her because of her parent’s 25 million dollar donation.

Laurie recently bought a $40 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California, where the richest of the rich live. Laurie better watch her spending, as she is also in hot water with her ex-husband, who is asking for $400,000 a month in alimony.

3. Ally Hilfiger

Ally Hilfiger may have had a glamorous life on display, but inside she was suffering. She had numerous physical ailments and some serious mental health issues that went long undiagnosed until she eventually learned it was all because of Lyme disease.

Hilfiger has been very outspoken about her recovery from Lyme Disease, writing a book that she hopes will let others know the warning signs of the horrendous disease. The book is called Bite Me: How Lyme Disease Stole My Childhood, Made Me Crazy, & Almost Killed Me. Hilfiger is definitely not holding back.

4. Megan Ellison

Ellison’s wealth comes from her father Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle, a massive technology company. According to Forbes, Larry Ellison is the sixth richest person in the world. Megan’s most recent business venture has been to acquire the TV rights to adapt Celeste Ng’s next book, who is famous for writing Little Fires Everywhere.

In 2014, Ellison was named on the Time list of “100 Most Influential People in the World.” The movie producer is smart about Annapurna pictures. Amancio Ortega is the #1 richest person in the fashion business. How does Marta live her day to day though? Well, she has been known to be very private, much like her father.

Unlike many other heiresses, Amancio wanted Marta to learn how to work hard and learn the ropes of life at a young age. She spent much of her youth working in the company’s retail stores and her father went to great lengths to ensure she did not receive special treatment.

The Zara heiress made headlines in 2018 when she had a luxurious, larger-than-life wedding. In December of 2019, Ortega confirmed that she is expecting her second child.

Although his film career never quite took off after that, Johnson has also been involved in journalism and fashion. He wrote some columns in Vanity Fair and created a boutique fashion brand called Black Sweater. Apparently, they make other things besides black sweaters.

Johnson got into the fashion game with Black Sweater after his friends and family constantly complimented the customized clothing that Johnson had designed for himself. Well, besides hanging out on yachts and socializing with some of Britain’s biggest stars, Chloe Green also is a mother of a two-year-old son named Jaden, whose father is her ex-partner Jeremy Meeks.

Jeremy Meeks, for those of you who don’t recognize the name, was the “Hot Felon” of the year a few years ago. He made headlines for his handsome mugshot, which got him a modeling contract. The socialite and model speaks Croatian and understands Italian and French. In 2011, she married James Stunt, a businessman. The two had one daughter together, Lavinia, in 2013. The HuffPost described the Clarins Sisters as “Fashion Royalty.” Virginie Courtin-Clarins is pretty private about her personal life, though she has given a few interviews. 11. Sofia Abramovich

Company: Chelsea Football Club
Net Worth: $12 billion*

This past Valentine’s day, 25-year-old Sofia Abramovich posted a photo on her Instagram account of her solemnly looking out to sea from the deck of her father’s yacht, saying she was looking for a date. Perhaps interested suitors are intimidated by the fact this yacht was the world’s 2nd largest and cost upwards of 400 million dollars.

Sofia’s billionaire father, Roman Abramovich often flew his daughter to school in helicopters and made sure she was driven around at all times in bulletproof Range Rovers. Sofia also is an avid equestrian and often shares videos and photos of her riding adventures.

Sofia is one of seven, and she was born in Russia before she and her family moved to England in 2003. The heiress’ father split from her mother back in 2007, and that divorce cost him over $155 million in a brutal settlement. After a brief attempt at a rap career, Travis Knight began interning at an animation company and slowly learned the ropes until he eventually took over the company and became a talented animator himself, working on films such as Paranorman, Coraline and The Boxtrolls. His biggest film, however, was 2016s, Kubo and the Two Strings which was nominated for an Academy Award.

13. Ariana Rockefeller

Company: Standard Oil
Net Worth: $2.8 billion*

Growing up with a name like Rockefeller, it might be hard to be perceived as, “normal,” by the other kids at school. When your great-great-grandfather is John D. Rockefeller, who is considered the wealthiest person in modern history, it may be difficult to live up to the expectations. Ariana Rockefeller is doing the best she can however, as an entrepreneur and businesswoman herself.

The 38-year-old graduated Columbia University with a Bachelor’s in Political Science, has had a successful equestrian career, started several of her own businesses, and even is on the board of the Rockefeller family’s philanthropic organization.

Ariana is never afraid to speak her mind, especially if she is defending her family. In an interview in 2016 on CBS This Morning, Rockefeller defended her family against #ExxonKnew, a social media campaign started by other members of her family. She also wrote an NYT piece hitting back at the campaign targeting Exxon for fossil fuels.

On her 25th birthday, Lisa Marie Presley inherited the entirety of her father’s estate, which was worth an estimated $100 million. Who was her father you ask? Well, he was none other than the “King of Rock and Roll,” Elvis Presley. After Elvis’s parents died, Lisa Marie became the sole heir to the throne of the King.

A fact about Lisa Marie Presley that you might not know is that, a couple years after Elvis died, she attended her first-ever rock concert. She saw Queen in Inglewood, California at The Forum. After the concert, she gifted lead singer Freddie Mercury with a scarf that had been her father’s.

Lisa Maria has had a bit of a music career herself releasing three studio albums. Lisa Marie was brought into the church of Scientology by her mother back in 1977 but eventually grew distant from the organization and, “defected” in 2016. Despite having inherited a seemingly massive estate, numerous complications and tax liabilities left her in a lot of debt.

15. Peter Brant II

Company: White Birch Paper
Net Worth: $2 million*

Peter Brant II and his brother Harry have long had the eye of NY fashion journalists as they prance around Manhattan in high-end designer clothing, frequent parties, and other high-profile social events around the city. The brothers are sons of the papermill business magnate, Peter Brant.

Peter and Harry were profiled in a 2012 issue of Vanity Fair with photos of them hanging out with celebrities like Courtney Love. They also launched a makeup line for MAC cosmetics that was aimed towards young, gender-fluid millennials.

Brant II is no stranger to controversy. He was arrested in March of 2016 at JFK International Airport in New York City. He apparently caused a “drunken ruckus” and assaulted a police officer. His own lawyer called him an “idiot.” Luckily, it appears that Brant II has calmed down as he’s gotten older.

16. Allegra Versace Beck

Company: Versace
Net Worth: $800 million*

Allegra Versace Black has long tried to avoid the spotlight that comes with being an heiress to the Versace fortune. She was only 11 years old when her uncle Gianni Versace was assassinated in Miami, Florida. On her 18th birthday, she inherited 50% of the Italian fashion empire.

Allegra was slow to join the Versace business, as she wanted to focus entirely on her studies, even after she turned eighteen (the age at which she could legally claim title of her inheritance). Even after eighteen, Allegra waited until the age of 24 to begin “real participation” in Versace.

She has had a lifelong appreciation for ballet and was a ballerina as a child. Because of her family’s connections to huge celebrities, it’s no surprise that Sir Elton John gave her a piano when she was a girl, however, she later admitted she never learned to play.

17. Lynsi Snyder

Company: In-N-Out Burger
Net Worth: $3 billion*

Lynsi Snyder is amongst those rare heirs that actually now runs the family business and is very successful in doing so. The family business is the famed west coast burger chain, In and Out. Her father died from a drug overdose when she was just 17, which led to Snyder ending up in 3 different failed marriages, beginning when she was just 18.

But today she has made a comeback is generally loved by the employees of In & Out. She inherited full leadership of the company when she was 35 years old and is currently the CEO. She has 3 children from 2 ex-husbands and one child from her current 4th husband.

Snyder is very shy, almost bordering on reclusive. She declines interview requests as a matter of routine, and she doesn’t usually appear at public events. That’s changed recently, but she is still quite private. Snyder said her reclusiveness is because she has been the victim of attempted kidnapping twice, once as a high school student and another a few years after that.

You might not know this, but The Closer star Kyra Sedgwick is actually an heiress. Her father, Henry Sedgwick V, was a venture capitalist who invested in The Atlantic Monthly, a multi-media conglomerate that competes against major companies like the Hearst Corporation and The New York Times.

Like with her sisters, the majority of Eve will not see a big part of their father’s massive fortune. Similar to Bill Gates, Jobs also limited Eve and her sisters’ access to social media and computers when they were young in an effort to make sure the kids grew up without an unhealthy relationship to tech, despite being surrounded by it.

She is currently a student at Stanford University. Eve usually keeps a low profile, though she is occasionally seen on the REI Channel on YouTube, doing short shows like “One Minute of Questions with Eve.” She was profiled on CNBC in 2018. Whether the latter was accidental or not, it definitely assisted in her rise to fame.

Paris Hilton and her friend Nicole Riche starred on FOX’s The Simple Life, a show in which the two wealthy socialites are forced to do manual labor and other menial tasks and thus allowing for lots of, “Fish Out of Water,” comedy to unfold.

22. Balthazar Getty

Company: Getty Oil
Net Worth: $200 million*

Balthazar Getty is an actor/DJ/fashion designer and is the grandson of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty.

He started acting at a young age in films like Lord of the Flies, Natural Born Killers, and Lost Highway. More recently, the 45-year-old launched a unisex fashion line called “Monk Punk.”He also has his own hip-hop label called “PurpleHaus”
